Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival in Windhoek
Arrive in Windhoek, Namibia’s capital.
Meet your guide or self-drive vehicle handover.
Trip briefing and welcome dinner.
Overnight: The Windhoek Luxury Suits
Day 2: Windhoek to Etosha National Park (South)
Travel north to Etosha South, entering via the Anderson Gate.
Settle into a lodge near or inside the park.
Afternoon private game drive focusing on elephants, rhinos, and lions.
Overnight: Etosha Safari Lodge or similar
Day 3: Etosha South – Full-Day Safari
Full-day guided game drives in southern Etosha.
Visit iconic waterholes and track predators and plains game.
Optional night drive or rest at the lodge with views of nearby wildlife.
Overnight: Etosha Safari Lodge
Day 4: Etosha South to Etosha East
Slow-paced game drive across the park toward Etosha East.
Arrive at lodge near the park’s eastern boundary.
Evening at leisure or optional birding walk.
Overnight: Eastern Etosha Lodge (e.g., Mushara Lodge)
Day 5: Etosha East – Waterhole & Birding Day
Focused waterhole photography and birdwatching with guide.
Explore the salt pans and watch for endemic species like the black-faced babbler or Secretary bird.
Sundowners near the pan or from the lodge deck.
Overnight: Eastern Etosha Lodge
Day 6: Etosha East to Damaraland
Drive southwest to Damaraland, a dramatic region of desert mountains and ancient rock art.
Visit Twyfelfontein, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Sunset over the rugged desert.
Overnight: Damaraland Camp or Lodge
Day 7: Desert Elephants & Landscapes
Morning drive in search of desert-adapted elephants.
Optional visit to a local community project or Damara Living Museum.
Afternoon at leisure.
Overnight: Damaraland Camp
Day 8: Damaraland to Caprivi (Kwando Region)
Travel (or fly) northeast to the lush Caprivi Strip.
Arrive at a lodge on the Kwando River.
Sunset river cruise for hippos, elephants, and birds.
Overnight: Kwando River Lodge or similar
Day 9: River Safari & Mokoro Experience
Morning boat safari or mokoro (dugout canoe) trip through wetlands.
Spot elephants, lechwe, crocodiles, and countless birds.
Afternoon wildlife walk or cultural village visit.
Overnight: Kwando River Lodge
Day 10: Caprivi (Chobe/Okavango Link)
Continue east to the Chobe area of the Caprivi (near Botswana/Okavango border).
Try tiger fishing on the Zambezi River or join a sunset boat cruise.
Exceptional birdwatching and peaceful riverside views.
Overnight: Chobe River Lodge or similar
Day 11: Caprivi to Rundu
Drive west to Rundu, on the Kavango River.
Visit a local craft market or community cultural center.
End the day with sundowners overlooking the river.
Overnight: Lodge on Kavango River
Day 12: Return to Windhoek or Departure
Scenic drive or flight back to Windhoek.
